As you know (some readers may not though), comparing our size now to the “old days” is apples to oranges. We had a pretty good number of flight engineers on the list that never needed replacing when the 727/747/Dc-8s went away.

When 2020 is said and done, we will most likely retire over 100 this year, and this is not even the start of the “big wave”.
