My rep told me as well as many union communications that they are in talks with the company but the company doesn't have the same appetite to an additional OIM as our pilot group does. We are not in section 6 the company doesn't have to do squat. Some are saying that if we get out of this OIM then more people will not do the China flying. That is absolutely laughable. Under the current OIM we have provisions to opt out and many are still not doing it how would dropping out of the OIM incentive more to drop out with no provisions? I am fully in agreement that another OIM would be good but look at the rest of the industries agreements. Ours is still the best. I have copies of UPS,Delta,Spirit agreements. We cant even get our pilot group to steep up now how is pulling out of this OIM going to change this? I have said this over and over again but we all need to look in the mirror and ask am I part of the problem or the solution.
Can you please post the rest of the industries’ agreements? Also, didn’t the bill just signed require employers to pay any worker that gets infected with Corina?
