In this market, that's a long time unless everyone else is doing the same. But on the flip side, it weeds out those who aren't really that interested for the long term, to begin with.

Hope all is well.

Applied with ATI during the early October Window. And was invited to interview in person. They gave me one date in December or 3 dates in January.

Take the first interview you can. The sooner you can get into the pool the sooner you can get called for a class. Good luck.

ATI pool doesn't work that way. Highest scoring interviewers get called for classes first. And they typically do several rounds of interviews before they start drawing from their pool.

Nothing I said contradicts what you said. I simply said the sooner you interview the sooner you can be called.

yep but they run a series of interviews to fill the pool before they start pulling from the pool to run classes, so if you have the choice between two interview dates, it typically doesn’t matter which one you take.

FWIW, the rumor is there will be a January class. Last year there was a class January 4 and the next one was March 1. If they do that again, the OP interviewing in January instead if December probably means they miss the first class of the year..

Bottom line, no one knows where the cut off line is for a class. Don’t assume that all the interview dates they offer you are for the same class, they may not be. My recommendation is to take the soonest interview date that you can be ready for. How you do on the interview is still the most important factor.

Ati pool
I believe it is true that the higher you score in the interview with ATI, sooner you will be notified for a class. My question is how many people will have to be in the pool so they can initiate a class . 20., 30, 50 ???Obviously one has to be ranked among those numbers .

It IS true that they call their best candidates first regardless of when they interviewed. Go to the interview and put your best foot forward, always. If you need to delay your interview in order to put your best foot forward, do so. Only HR knows the pool size question, and classes are not uniform in size for a multitude of reasons. I’d venture a guess that if the answer to the question “do we have enough qualified candidates in the pool to fill a class that will meet our immediate staffing requirements?” is “yes”, then they will begin extending class invites to candidates in the pool.
