Looking back a couple pages during the middle of Covid and I'm seeing lots of guys with 75/76 types, 2500+ TT and 121 experience that got TBNT letters back. I realize COVID made things weird/way more competitive but now that all the furloughed guys have been picked up, what is historically the background of new hires?
Apply, the worst they can say is No. however like dera recommended. You should go cut your teeth at a regional some would be my recommendation....

Cape Air guy indeed. I have a year long contract anyway that I can't break, just curious if anyone had heard of lower time guys with no jet experience going into the right seat of a real big boy jet and doing okay.

Yeah hopefully I can skip the regionals and go directly to someone like JetBlue or Spirit like a lot of our guys do. Though recently a couple of our guys have ended up at a cargo op in the 75/76 with no prior jet time which is kinda what led me to asking.

Thanks to both of you!!

What i've heard is bare minimum 2000 total time and 500 turbine. They also want to see crew time. I'd recommend getting 121 turbine time at a regional as well.

I applied at ATI, but received an email today about interviewing with ABX. Has anyone else receive something like this? I know you can apply at ABX on their own website and ATI has their own. I do understand that they are sister companies, but kind of odd.

When I applied I immediately received an email saying:
Thank you for your application for the position of First Officer with Air Transport International (ATI). A member of the Human Resources team will contact you if we need additional information or wish to schedule a phone or personal interview with you. If you are not contacted, this is the only correspondence that you will receive.

That being said I have not received a TBNT.

You didn't apply at ABX at one point in time?

ABX wouldn't reach out to you on behalf of an ATI application.

I'm just speculating here, but ATI is about to get the whipsaw treatment (lets hope they don't instantly buckle like last time) so it would not surprise me in the least if ATSG was shuffling ATI apps to ABX. ATSG is a cutthroat company, understand what you are getting into here if you decide to say yes. Its a good job... its a well run company to be perfectly honest, but we have to hold our ground together as 3 different airlines (ATI, ABX, Omni for those who dont know). Make the C suite earn their money. Get ready for it ATI, we deserve our fair share. None of us deserve to be bottom tier given the load we carry. We are not "sister carriers" unless we stick together.

Have you gone back to the hiring portal to see if your app is still there/active? Have you tried updating it to keep it fresh?
