I think the time passed between incident and now will matter. I had an incident in 2008, not a DUI or anything but an MIP as well. I was honest and told them about it, told them more importantly what I learned from that mistake and was hired in 2019. Now if I would have had an issue in the recent past, they may see that as a potential issue. But that is just my opinion, I’m not linked to the hiring process whatsoever.

If you have an interview, don’t try to sweep it under the rug. Be honest, tell them what happened, let them know you take responsibility and have learned from it, even if it is expunged.

Nice job by ATN3415 crew today landing ROC diversion in mediocre weather (snow/mist) with R engine out.

In this industry, far too often crews don’t get recognition for doing a good job. Yes this is something they should be able to handle, however an engine out is abnormal and opens the door to many other problems. So giving the crew an attaboy is a good thing!

What I question is your snarky comment. It would strongly appear as though you are not content to let someone say “nicely done”. No, it appears as though you would rather propagate negativity. Am I wrong?

Not that I care what you question but....its kinda what we are paid to do. Like saying attaboy for going through the QRH and landing after a flap "abnormal." Nothing snarky intended.

niterfr8dog is on many of these forums and loves to provide snarky comments, I believe he prides himself on them.
