Quote: So I just want to be clear....

You told me I should ask the union for answers prior to you getting answers from the union--even though I did get my answers from the union.

You told me I was wrong prior to you having the answers.

And now that you have the answers you aren't willing to share with everyone? Got it....

Answer me this one question then: did you ask the union if the System Board of Adjustment would be meeting in October as specified in the CBA?

Dude, give it a break. You’re only digging the hole deeper, and look foolish doing it.

No. Not at all. You are great at trying to paint a picture that doesn't exist. Don't try to twist my words and state them as facts. If you already got your answers, move on. Stop trying to create issues that don't exist.

Got it. I'll just assume your post on page 26 (Post #254) was in reference to something else I had said... not what you quoted and responded to. Sorry I tried to twist your words when it's from a quote of yours.

But once again, I'm the guy that is wrong even though you haven't asked the union that question and I have.... sorry.

Have a good day.

I asked the questions that I had and got answers. They matched what has been said publicly in emails to all of us. I had other questions that I received answers to as well but don't see the need in informing you of my interactions with the union and their answers to my personal questions. If you already received answers to your questions as well, stop trying to create more issues. We have enough going on here and are trying to all get through the current state our industry is in. Your continued and obvious hatred towards the people that give their time to helping us is concerning.

Setting the Record Straight(er)
If you saw the ALPA Fast Read tonight, you can probably guess its about me. I want to be clear, I'm not on here posting anonymously trying to incite fear. In fact, you can see from my previous posts where I have offered to give my phone number to those who disagree with my perspective on here in an attempt to explain our sides better. I have tried to work with ALPA on this and they have continued to misguide those effected... and to prove my point I will refer you back to the email from tonight.

Paragraph 3 of the email paints a great picture of what they've done with the grievance: they filed my issue form, filed a group grievance, and then "filed an appeal to the System Board of Adjustment (arbitration)."

Here's the problem: they filed the appeal to the review board, but they haven't enforced the appeal. Section 21.D in the CBA specifically says, "The Review Board will convene January, April, July, and October...". Call your rep or the Chairman and ask if they met in October as the CBA requires. The answer is they did not, but he left that part out of the email.

Rather than being honest in an attempt to "Set the Record Straight" the Chairman only delivered half of the facts. In a 5 paragraph email, only 2 sentences were devoted to actual facts of this case--everything else was fluff and identifying me. This has been the theme from the beginning of this process: obscuring information, not answering pertinent questions, and misguiding our colleagues.

I have talked to lots of pilots effected and each one has been given different excuses from various reps. Further, I have email proof of reps obscuring what information they have in an attempt to not represent the bonus. One rep was caught saying "I don't have this document so I can't answer your questions", but then emails surfaced of him forwarding the same document internally a month earlier to colleagues.

While the Chairman did list some facts, he failed to mention all the facts, which is what I've been saying from the beginning.

It's not even about the bonus anymore. It's about holding our representatives accountable. We think of the CBA as an agreement between us and the company. But it's also an agreement between us and ALPA; we pay dues and they represent us. I apologize that the chairman had to "take time from other important work to provide the facts and set the record straight." But ask yourself, did he tell you all the facts about this?

When I saw the Fast Read last night, I was glad that it was addressed but it's unfortunate that it had to be. From reading your posts on here in the past and listening to you in the crew room, I took your word on a lot of what you said and am ashamed to say that I angrily went after the reps and the committee chairmen as you directed us to do multiple times. I got a very different story when I went to them and that's why I have told you and everyone else to go to the source for factual information. Whenever we get information from them, you jump online or spout off in the crew room literally trying to get us to believe that their messages mean something completely different than what it does. Surprise surprise, you've done it again.

Giving people your phone number to tell them that the formal emails we get actually mean something else from what they say is not an "attempt to explain our sides better." Stating that the emails signed by the people actually doing the work are written to misguide us proves that you actually have no idea what you are talking about. Instead you prefer to undermine the work done on our behalf.

Here we go again with you typing words to pretend you know what's going on but clearly have no idea. The emails sent to us spells out the steps that they took leading up to the appeal and then you claim fault that they "haven't enforced the appeal." This is a clear statement that shows your ignorance of the process and your desire to attack the guys that are actually working for us. You cannot enforce an appeal. An appeal means that you disagree with the decision and it goes through an additional process (arbitration) to have it decided by another party. You don't get to just "enforce" your position.

You then attacked the grievance chairman again and definitively claim that he is hiding the fact that they haven't held a meeting. Do you have any proof of this?

I think he did a good job "setting the record straight." He stated the facts and has cleared up the false narrative that you try to portray of knowing more than the people doing the work for us. I have hard your "proof" in the crew room and just like your post, you blatantly try to claim that the messages say something else or purposely do not say something which automatically means your conspiracy theories are correct.

Again, more baseless accusations. It's obvious now that you are desperately grasping for straws. The union has been pretty transparent about what is going on. Claiming that we are not getting "all the facts" just shows that you are bitter and lacking of all understanding of how a representative process works. On many of your posts you demand to know exactly what is discussed in a negotiating or settlement discussion. News Flash - Those discussions are confidential so both sides can discuss options without being publicly tied to them before any agreement is made.

I do think we have some good people working for us. It is sad that they had take time away from their other work to address the misinformation campaign that you keep trying to push. You benefit from all that work like the rest of us but then benefitted even more by being recalled after only a month of furlough. There are many other pilots here and at other airlines that would be glad to be in your position.

Hey JJ158, go read your email. I hope you go thank union for getting you recalled, getting your bonus to be paid out this month, and for making sure that we have the generous rules in place for you to pick up your overtime 4 day trip that you start tomorrow!
