Quote: Interesting theory, considering the incubation period for strep throat is longer than 36 hours.

I don't know what to tell you. She started feeling bad Tuesday evening. My wife called the school the next morning and said she didn't feel well and they said she would need a Dr's note saying it didn't present as the Rona, or couldn't come back for 2 weeks. So she called the Dr and went by that same day (Wednesday). The pediatrician with 30 years experience said it presented as strep, gave her a prescription for something, I don't know what it is (my wife handles that kind of stuff). We called back up to the school later that day and told them what the Dr said. The woman said yea, we have a ton of kids out with strep. Maybe she got it at school, maybe not. The point is that she wears a mask anytime she goes to the store, etc. Kids are still coming down with bacterial infections that are many times larger than the virus that they are forcing them to wear the masks for. IMHO, if strep can get through, the Rona won't have any problem...

Not sure what to tell you. Kids are gross, and they get sick a lot.

What does that have to do with the proven science of using a mask to reduce community spread of COVID?

I think this has more to do with your kid just being a kid than the mask allowing strep or something else go through it. They don’t prevent ppl from getting anything however they do help prevent the spread. The reality is pro mask or anti mask until we can get our infection level down we can’t get international travel back and everything back open. We can be part or the problem or part of the solution.

These days you really shouldn't punish someone by tying them up, especially children.

They just haven't released the one with a 98 percent kill rate yet. Don't worry though they will.

My favorite people are the ones in the airport wearing nitrile gloves to prevent getting sick, but scarf down a Big Mac and large fry while wearing the same pair of said gloves.

The other fun one was back in March when AA kicked off a guy wearing a gas mask. See you can only protect yourself so much says AA. Gas Mask too protected, no mask not enough.

...then he went to the restroom with them on. Washed them, and came out, still wearing them.

Nah if you wear gloves you don't need to wash your hands. Gloves are impregnated with germ repelling nanomolecuses that keep them clean. Everyone knows that.

So, you can wipe your rear with them. Saves toilet paper. Then immediately wipe your nose with them. Saves Kleenex. Got it.

Please ignore that brown smear on your upper lip.

Do you not realize that the term "proven science" is an oxymoron? If it were proven, it wouldn't be science anymore. There are plenty of scientific studies that show masks have negative effects, such as the one published by Duke a few months ago.

I wont argue wearing real viral masks would be effective if used correctly, but the bottom line and undeniable fact is people are wearing cloth, not masks, and they are using them incorrectly to boot.

Lots of "proven science" out there to suggest thats a very bad thing.

Is this the study you're referring to?
