As the people above me point out, you seem to be the one with an agenda, an agenda to defend GoJet, probably the most undependable company in the country. A company that, when it finds out that someone has cancer, its first act is to give the person a checkride so it can then fire the person and save 200k in cancer treatment.

If you are now GJ management I understand you want to encourage people to stay and fly the planes so it doesn't have to close earlier than it needs to. Neither Compass or TSA made it to the date they said it would. But there is no way in hell that GJ is going to survive this and is a person has a chance to jump to another airline they should not wait around hoping that some miracle comes and saves GJ. A GJ miracle would be one that keeps it going another year or 2, but in the end the patient is still dead and buried.
GJ may still get Mesa's CRJ 700s. This money would allow them to convert them and then they would make more income (assuming their flying returns) and make the lease payments. The announced deal for Mesa was that UA would guarantee the lease payments.

The people who get stuck on "Another united express carrier": Skywest is a UAX carrier. Leasing to "another" uax carrier is accurate and correct and does NOT mean it's OTHER than GJ.

It doesn't take an agenda to find HK and the people who run TSH and GJ to be the lowest of the low. They don't follow the law for one thing, discharging people for taking military leave, supporting a union, taking FMLA leave, or just getting sick.

I feel sorry for every person at GJ and wish them well, and it will.

I heard a rumor that scope is putting the hurts to the 550, is that true? And also the plan to use them into Aspen has been nixed.
More thread related, from what I read, the sale of those 550's was to get a much needed cash injection at GoJet.
Not sure thats good or bad.

The 550 is scope restricted when it comes to weight, this causes it to be restricted to the amount of fuel it can take and therefor the distance it can fly, specially when they have alternates. I've been told that G7 have to kick off a bunch of passengers when they have alternates.

G7 tried to get certified to fly into Aspen, i believe the passengers would love the 550 going in there. What i was told is that the FAA didn't want to certify G7 for Aspen operations.

Looking through your post history tells me all I need to know. I would encourage everyone on this forum, when you see something and you think it could be speculative or biased for or against a company, read the person's post history. Its by far the best feature of APC.

Spend more time saving your airline and less time trolling internet message boards. I’m sure the employees of the airline would appreciate it.

G7 selling owned planes to OO and leasing them back indicates a cash flow problem. It is entirely possible this was done to try and weather the financial storm. It is also just as likely this is a attempt to get as much cash on hand as possible to liquidate the airline. HK wants out, he has already sunk two airlines. Might be going for the hat trick.

FWIW - I don’t see OO wanting to operate the 550 in UAX/G7’s markets. They much rather lease those owned planes and make the someone else deal with being competitive in the northeast market while they cash checks.

My agenda and I agree. HK is not going to take the chance of trying to run an airline when he can grab a bunch of money and run. He is structuring his exit. If the GJ guys get to go to Skywest they will come out way ahead, even if they start at the bottom of the seniority list but keep their seats. Skywest gives up to 10 years of longevity so a 10 year GJ pilot would make about 115 per hour at Skywest and could probably get 110 hours of pay per month.

Problem is SW did not do well taking over Expressjet. They won't take over GJ in a way that keeps GJ as it is. There would have to be an advanced agreement.

SkyWest has zero interest in flying the 550’s. They want to grow there “leasing” business. If HK decides to retire. They will lease the aircraft to someone else...
