Quote: Sorry....What was the vote on 20-03 again? Only in your world do you have to be "All In" or "All Out" in regards to political animals. The vast majority recognize that there is usually a mixture of both.
you’re the one who singled out a certain group who you think likes the MEC’s results. I’m trying to find out if you were just minimizing their opinion or actually had a point.

My post followed 2 posters who were saved from the bell. I was adding context. If you want to call it "minimizing" with the insinuation that I am putting them down then so be it. If I was in their shoes I would be happy too. If questioned about it I would say, " Damn straight ". The thing that is interesting is that they seem to think the MEC chair made all this happen in a vacuum, all by himself. BIG BAD 44 needs to be taken down because they are "appeasers". For the readers of the forum that don't really keep up with the politics of DALPA( like myself) I was merely pointing out that a "thumbs up" for Ryan needs to be taken in context. Context is not minimizing. It is a statement of fact from my perspective.

You seem to have your panties in a wad over this....I really don't care. I hope you can make peace with yourself because your emotional hang-ups aren't my concern.

Funny how RS gets so much credit for 20-03 and 20-04, etc when it was the NC who negotiated them. And the NC works for the LEC reps (the MEC), not the MEC officers.

So you don't think if the MEC had directed surrender we would have achieved what we got?

Seriously? Are you that dense?

The surrender monkeys of c44 have hijacked the union again. Yea. EB, GH, JL, RG are no doubt toasting their good fortune over a fine Macallan 25 right now. Probably delivered to them by c44.

I’m very dense Komrade. But I assure you, many or maybe all of the same LEC reps who were directing the NC and their negotiations and voting on whether to approve those LOAs are also the same reps who apparently felt that the MEC Chair wasn’t performing the task well enough and they used their same votes to send him home.

This is council 44 Reps dream. All 4 reps vote in unison, none have a independent thought. I thought Ryan did a great job holding the line when management was playing games. Council 44 Reps held out long enough to prevent recall and have a pro-management MEC chairman. I hope I'm wrong about Jason but at this point I expect more shuffling of our contract gives... in order to obtain gaines.

Probably the same as you Komrade, just from a different perspective.

If you’ve ever been involved in ALPA in an elected or appointed position you would know that the MEC chairman is largely a titular position. He/she is the ‘face’ of the Association but the real work is done by the LECs and committees. That’s reality.

Our Association decided that Schnitzler was not representing our collective group in the manner they desire so he was replaced. It happens. It’s not a reason to celebrate or jump off a bridge, but hopefully, like all political organizations, progress can be made when all work together without petty stubbornness and bickering.

I’m optimistic.
