Ambrosi in as new MEC chair

How exactly does any MEC officer do anything?
Answer is, they can’t unless they have direction from the MEC. It was the MEC that held the line. Anyone in the same spot would have been directed to do the same thing.
The top down, Chairman is the Captain of the Ship thing departed the pattern with LM, and a stake was put through its heart after TA1. These days the position is basically an office manager.

I’m in favor of term limits but the turnover in the Dalpa MEC Chairmanship (as in no one being re-elected since I don’t remember when) has a bit disconcerting since the position is just an office manager...

If the MEC Chairmanship is as you say “basically an office manager,” then why the big push to replace him? I mean, he’s really just an office manager.

If I have a lawn guy on a 12 month service contract, and I notice my neighbors lawn looks better, at the end of the contract, I’m probably going to consider my options.
Normal election cycle. It looks like the MEC felt someone could cut the lawn better without knocking off all the sprinkler heads or dumping the trash in the neighbors yard.

I don’t know if I’d consider it a big push. I didn’t see any campaign balloons or petting zoos. It looked like normal business.

Whose lawn looks better than ours? United? I don’t think so. American? Highly doubtful. Possibly SWA? Maybe. I applaud the MEC and the MEC leadership for holding the line as well as they have during this pandemic.

Well it’s really no big deal to me personally since I’m out the door next September 1 but...

The vacillation in MEC officers is probably a symptom of the narrow election margins. JA is the first to get a solid majority in a long time.

Do you hold an elected, appointed or volunteer position in ALPA/Dalpa?

Actually RS has been quoted saying “it’s a fake rigged election!” And has lawsuits out to have a recount. His transition team is not working with Ambrosi at all. He’s saying it so much I actually believe it.

My lawn could look like Augusta but if I have to keep digging up the lawn to replace the busted sprinklers, I’m going to be pretty torqued, and will probably make a change.

Huh?
I hope he doesn't respond.
Would it change your opinion if he was/wasn't? Other than a few out-sized posters here (looking at you, gzsg ), most of us probably participate because it's anonymous. Regardless of who he is, I'm glad he's here...just as I'm glad you're here...even without knowing your CV.
