How about you go storm the capitol. This is an insane thought.

I guess this means “cancel culture” is alive and well within our pilot group? Even against other JetBlue ALPA pilot volunteers?

I am sickened that people are calling for the house to be burned down after a 54-46 vote. It wasn’t a blowout as some (cough.... Riddleeagle..... cough) projected.

we are a throughly divided pilot group. Why blame the MEC? No matter how they voted, almost 50% of the group would be upset. They did what they felt was right, it was (barely) voted down. They are now filing a grievance against the company IAW section 1. This is the right, and contractually correct, move.

Let the MEC file their grievance, let them work within the confines of the CBA and if y’all want to burn the place down in a year be my guest.... but for right now, I sense a lot of butthurt, shame and anger from no voters.

Everyone said it would be a blowout..... it wasn’t. Everyone said we would send a clear message...... we didn’t. Lots of folks got the vote tally wrong. I believe in the MEC, and I believe they are doing what is best for us, as JetBlue ALPA pilots. If you disagree, fine. However, don’t blame them for trying to do what is best for a VERY angry and VERY divided pilot group.

Quote: We can now file grievances based on intent to violate the contract? Wow that's news to me. The company broke the contract this week and a grievance was filed.
Yes!

From your CBA Section 1.I Remedies "(including an announced transaction that has not yet become effective)".

The MEC deliberated and discovered that starting or ending in this venue WILL BE our weakest position.

"The horror" ... of thoughtful decision making ... "the horror' ...

I didn’t think it would be a blowout. I knew it was gonna be close based on some interactions I had with other pilots during the last week of voting. At any rate, I voted no and have lost confidence in our MEC; however, I’m nowhere near a recall. I think they just became too disconnected over the last 6-8 months. Hopefully this serves as a wake up call. Does this seem like a management that will act on ‘good intentions’? It took them about 5 seconds to violate the most sacred part of our contract. A section that you guys fought hard for and voted on. Now we’re simply trying to preserve it. Our current management makes me sick. I can’t help but think this will somehow end badly for us. Like BlueDriver said in a previous post, they’re playing chess, and we’re playing patty cake. We’ve got to try and protect the one thing we have some control over: scope.

Huh?? Just gonna group all no voters in one? I voted no and I don't fit your description above sir. Several other no voters are not with this recall idea (check this very thread). So how about you be a little more specific going forward?

I am glad the TA failed. No butthurt from me. It's a win in my book and it should be a win in yours too, you probably don't see it that way however

My thoughts exactly, I’m also not for a recall. Amazing you could vote no and not want to recall

I’m sure the recall is coming from the echo chamber that is BluePilots. They represent a fraction of the pilot group.

The idea of a recall with a 54% result is idiotic. Not just that, but this is the worst time to split the pilot group and engage in some stupid war with one another. Management is bleeding money and they would love a divided group right now while they work on whatever they can to split us up even further. We need unity right now while we move ahead during a time of industry crisis.
