Quote: WB FO at ACMI, 6400 TT, over 1K TPIC, prior mil, thinking of applying to FedEx. Primary consideration is schedule, not money, live close to MEM: y’all working 16/14 contractually with some lines 8/8? Or is your schedule more 4/3 like traditional 121 pax pbs scheds? Thx
Like MEMA said, there's too many options to list. Try reading this thread and see if it answers some of your questions.

Sounds like the MEC/NC need to develop a new plan and work with management to get increased frequency of negotiating meetings scheduled. Don’t delay, increase the number of meetings now and don’t let the company delay a new contract beyond May. Follow AA’s lead and develop a more aggressive meeting timeline. If management really values us then they’ll work with us to get a new contract.

Breaking news: they don't.

We are viewed and treated as a necessary evil. You don't hire a plumber, a mechanic, an accountant or a lawyer because you "value" them. You hire them because you need them. You pay more for one when you have no choice. Until management feels they have no other choice, they're going to take their sweet time. The union will have to figure out how to legally apply enough pressure to make them feel that they have no choice. Management will never just "value" us.

It’s worse than that, we’re a liability. An expensive one.

How about we don’t pattern off of APA. They have been in negotiations for over 3 years. The ramp up with an aggressive schedule is to get a deal done because everything else has failed to produce an agreement so far.

I have a good buddy there and he’s underwhelmed with what they have seen from Management to date.

Disagree. I see us as an asset. Do you know how many times on a routine flight that my crew and I "make it happen?"
