Quote: I could see Amazon wanting a single domestic 737 operator. We have 12 Atlas has 8 🤷🏽‍♂️
Amazon doesn't want a single anything operator. They have said as much explicitly.

There is an A330 size hole in your theory…

It's not a theory.

Read the section with the heading "Diversified carrier strategy". There is another article out there somewhere (can't think of the exact quote that would locate it) in which the program manager says straight up that they like having multiple carriers so that if one acts up, they can just shift they flying to the others.

It's a good bet that if Amazon decides to grow their A330 fleet beyond the 10 they currently have pointed at Hawaiian (and I have my doubts about Alaska-Hawaiian continuing to fly for Amazon beyond the merger), there will be other operators involved. ATSGIBX can be ready in a year. They just need a customer to sign on the line.

Thats a pretty old article to dredge up. June of 2020, I’m sure Amazon’s strategy hasn’t adjusted since then…

Fair. Probably the most realistic possibility atm.

Fedex would do this with the feeders. If you need to slap one on the wrist, you transfer some flying to another. It's not easy to make big sweeping changes at once, but you can switch enough flying to get your point across.

My understanding is that we are/were a bidder, so that might explain them not moving on any applications. Don't have much info, though.

I hope that is the case, im thinking once the auction period is over with and the dust settles we will have more options.
