How likely is this to happen, and what will happen if they strike? Doesn't seem like NWA can get along without their pilots.

Disappointed that is was 92.16%. Should have been 100%

What are the chances that Northwest is going under for good if they strike?

Now if the Delta pilots would do the same, maybe someone would pay attention.

Hoping for a strike?

Joel,

Many top managers have already left with their loot, and those remaining may realize that their window of opportunity is closing. Is it possible that they anticipate a greater personal windfall via liquidation than by continuing under bankruptcy, and therefore WANT a fatal strike?

The Delta and NWA pilot groups need to walk out similar to the way both companes filed Chapter Eleven just minutes apart.

Send a message! Enough is enough!

What if the a$$ that gets kicked are the pilots? Unemployment and career dissolution is absolutely no fun. One day you are worth 125K the next nothing. Our only value as pilots really lies with our seniority in the company. As we all know once that is gone the abyss awaits. Even now there are hobo like ex-eastern pilots who walk about our local airport mumbling to themselves about Lorenzo. For most if NWA goes away that will be the last job they will ever have. The same goes for DAL. Perhaps the strength that needs to be shown is an honest understanding of the situation and a desire for self preservation over ego?

Certainly glad Joshua Chamberlin didn't think that way at the Battle of Gettysburg.
