If they were making less than us when they started, they ain't now. I'm on second year FO pay at TSA making $25/hr while those second year GoJetters are making $30/hr. If that's not a kick to the nuts , I don't know what is. Looks like our boys should've got that metal on property first, then argued over pay Oh well, the rest is history now.
i stand corrected. i havent paid much attention to those guys (gojets) in a few years. i can not believe they got a pay raise and you guys are still making the same ol'. was it due to contract timetables or did the go jetters grow a pair and get a "little better" wages than they previously had?
here is another question since you work for tsa. what is the deal with waterski? i heard a long time ago that is was because the ceo at the time loved waterskiing? as lame as it sounds i figured "why not"...i have heard of crazier things in this aviation world. anyway so what is the history?
If I remember correctly TSA started as an airline to literally shuttle people to a lake to go waterskiing (Resort Air, if I recall)... That's where they get their LOF identifier from (being Lodge of the Four Seasons)...
For anyone that thinks that gojets guys don't get denied jumpseats, think again, I've had the pleasure on a few occasions, as I bid ORD and STL lines often. I think they know better by now, furthermore I've told a couple of them in line at Starbucks, what a pos person they are for displacing folks with families by undermining the collective bargaining agreement that TSA had. It's funny to see them turn red with anger and embarrassment, but they brought it on themselves, they usually don’t say anything just walk away.

gojets = contract workers, alter ego airline

Stay clear, or live with the consequences!
Think about this, if our concessionary deal goes through, 2nd year XJT F/O's flying 50 seaters will still make more then 3rd year GOJET F/Os flying 70 seaters.........

It was Ozarks that TSA flew to and from.....

I would like to see you say that to a furloughed United pilot that goes over there.
Quote: I see GoJet is reporting they are hiring, Or at least accepting applications. Does anyone want to shed any light on this company, and if they are hiring for classes or just a pool??
If you get an interview go for it. As far as majors see it is a "regional airline" To them everyone is the same from; Mesa to GoJet to the mighty Skywest.

So this makes it worthwhile to go to a company like GoJets? The end justifies the means I guess.............
Dead On....

threegreen is absolutely right...first off....management is choosing you for the interview...not the almighty captain john smith from the regional airlines. I have good pilot friends that work for the majors and when I say the word gojet...they reply "who are they"? and "what do they fly" It's a little bogus to assume that you will be tarnished for time eternal. And its true they see all regionals the same. You have the PIC time and the jet/turboprop time....you are good to go. Your career at the regionals is a stepping stone in life. I would love to know how many on these forums actually intend on staying where they are at until they retire....my guess is less than 1%
