United CEO: "Other airlines should fear us and will be scared of us."
I don't know what the airlines should feel, but as a pilot, I am glad I don't work for them.

Our merger stuff is behind us and was relatively quick. It looks like their SLI could drag on.
Varmit or rodent.

I've also read somewhere that the CAL policy of no health care for new hire pilots for the first 6 months still "survives" with the new UAL. Unbeeleevable.

Also, look for the AN-225 soon in ATL.

Quote: Hey guys. I have a pilot fatigue survey in the survey forum. I'm struggling to get responses. If you have time please take a look. The survey is related to duty day rule change and takes about 2 min. Thanks
I'm too tired

I think that was one of the things that was holding it up in the past few months. In the end, all that CASS pilots are in the database, the systems are already setup for quickly identifying us via a computer. It would take a long time to either set them up for a CASS like system or to include them in CASS. Let AFA fight that battle.

Kind of like putting our new hires up during indoc in ATL, and then sending them to DC-9 or A320 training in MSP and making them find and pay for their own lodging.

Same as ATL, they have to find their own lodging after indoc for training here. Not crazy about that either but I'll take that in a heartbeat over no insurance for 6 months on $31/hour for a pilot flying anything from a 737 to the 777.

If I'm not mistaken, we had a pilot die at Coex (back in the day when we our checks said Continental on them) about 4-5 months in. No insurance and so they were collecting money for his family.
