Quote: Great post and insight. In house unions are the best route. The Spirit pilots are ALPA's fodder. It is a replay of the Midwest Airline pilots history. Air Tran is the next ALPA fodder. They are expecting these pilots to strike.

When is the last time CAL, UAL, NWA, DAL carried a picket sign for their own airline? Get it. They were in the Midwest Airlines picket line. (right on bro, we got your back bro, sorry that happened to you bro, whoa, now you do not have a job bro. Here fill out the application for the next airline we will see what we can do.)

You have always heard that history repeats itself, get out while you can.
all,

I'm still trying to wrap my thoughts into how ALPA is the source of the East pilots problems. I guess the $100,000 question is, if the East guys had an in house union at the start of the merger process, how would things be different for them today?

Read the previous posts on this thread, you will find your answer.

Would Midwest Airline pilots have their jobs now if they did not go ALPA?

I've been an active participant on this thread, so help me out if I missed it. USAPA goes against AWALPA for seniority negotiations. What happens next?

You should answer my question about Midwest first to be polite. You can not cherry pick a discussion.

They might.
I would certainly agree that ALPA National's record on scope enforcement is horrible.

National has an enormous conflict of interest trying to represent mainline and regionals. They write flawed scope clauses, they relax them regularly and they don't enforce the ones they have written.

Republic is flying A320s and E190s in violation of Delta's scope clause as we speak.

Thank you. Delta Alpa shills, what say you, besides "I've got mine".

I don't know. Let's say they were in house, what would that have done. And just to be clear, my question came first, so I'm not sure where the cherry-picking talk comes from.

No advantage to being ALPA, maybe someone gets free hair pieces if they do belong to it.

It is happening now. ALPA National guided Midwest Airlines, poof::, they are gone. ALPA national guided USAirways during merger, poof::, ALPA is gone. The USAirways pilots are in control now, that bothers ALPA shills like you.

Ummm. I read the decision, too. I didn't see an answer to my question in there. Can you point me to it?

Do a search on the pdf file in the decision for, DISMISSED! That means a rewind. It never happened and never should of or would of in an in house union.

Say hi to prater, when you get a chance to pull your nose out. It is comfortable having yours, is it not?
