I suspect they are simply short staffed and overwhelmed with the numbers they are being asked to process.... everything happens for a reason.

Received the phone interview yesterday. Great conversation with "DB" and got the invite for the interview session on the 18th to the 21st. I mentioned (based on my inside connection) that they must be busy as they are planning on interviewing 160 in those 4 days and she said that they were actually hoping to interview 180 but weren't sure it was going to happen as they are absolutely swamped.

Just wanted to pass this on as those that have successfully completed the online assessment may be getting a call real soon! Best of luck!!

Quote: Sure. in late October I was contacted by HR at Atlas to take the online assessment. Which I did. I traded several emails and one phone call with lets call her "HR Rep A". After the assessment was complete she asked if I had recently done a PAQ, which I had, and to send directly to her an updated resume, which I did. Since that last contact up until this past saturday any and all of my attempts to contact HR at Atlas had gone unanswered. On this past Saturday, "HR Rep B" attempted to call me for a phone interview, I missed the call. I called back later that day, again on Sunday, Twice on Monday, and again on Tuesday morning because in the VM she left she specifically stated, PLEASE call me back when you are able. Which I did, leaving a message twice and not leaving a message twice. Tuesday early afternoon, I received an email from "HR Rep A" (original person from October) saying I was being moved along in the process and would I please take the assessment, she attached all the required information. I was somewhat taken aback seeing as I had already done this for "HR Rep A" over 2 months ago AND "HR Rep B" was trying to contact me for a phone interview. So, I emailed "A" back inquired as to my status. She responded and said it was a mistake and she would check with "B". "A" emailed me back within an hour saying the "B" would be "reaching out to me soon, by the end of the day, likely and hour." So, here I sit over 48 hours later and now neither A nor B respond to emails.

Is that clear enough?
Yup....crazy thing is that I'm in AQP today at my present airline and I received an email this afternoon from a name I've never heard of in HR to take the assessment. I'm already in the pool! Lol....good times, good times! I can't wait to see what the future holds!

Can you guys shed some light on the sim schedule at training? Specifically about how many do you have and about how long are the sims and associated brief/debrief? Also what is the norm as far as time of day for the sims? For initial qual about how many of your sims can you expect to be in the middle of the night vs bankers hours? Do some people get lucky and others get screwed with midnight sims the entire 2 months?

Two months of simulator training? That is hard to believe.

You answered your own question, but the 4 hour FFS periods only last 2 1/2 weeks with a 2 hour pre- and 1 hour de-brief. The brief times generally start at 0400 and repeat every 4 hours skipping the midnight one for sim maint.

First guys start at 4am, last guys finish at 2am. I had the 4 am shift for 2.5 weeks and I was thankful I did, sim never broke on us while other guys later in the day had issues.

There are a total of nine full flight sim sessions including your type ride. 2 hour brief, 4 hours in the sim, and then a debrief after. You most likely will not have the same sim schedule the entire time. Crews bounce all over for sim time.

Don't forget the Cat 2/3 and Loft. Plus the time in the systems/flows trainers. Very valuable time. The company was not shy with giving peeps an extra sim period if they needed it either.
