This too counts as information they do not tell us however there is a somewhat unreliable rumor that there may be an interview class held in February either the second or third week... something between the 3rd and 24th as those are the dates classes start. If true perhaps there will be some calls/invites going out rather soon.
Seems the new process is to first invite you to the online assessment (100 question test) and those ARE going out right now. Most likely they are preparing for interview classes soon.

So how the heck does this work. Saw an Atlas plane in Tianjin (China).... Operating as 'Qantas operated by Atlas'..... So let me get this straight, its a US registered airplane, operating for an Australian carrier in China....?

That flight was a charter, not for Qantas, but using one of the aircraft normally dedicated to the QF contract. Sometimes the customer (Qantas, Etihad, etc) book the charter, sometimes its another customer contracting directly with Atlas.

I've been old in a class and had a high last four in another. I would say the least discriminatory method is just to draw a name from a hat. No one does that. My most recent class I was 5 of 14 and after 10 years I'm #1 of 2 remaining. My point is it changes and it is only among 10-12 guys so in the grand scheme of things it may not matter as much as we worry about.

As an outsider watching this thread for some time, it seems something must be stirring in Miami. Info flow slowed after the summer and has been fairly minimal since the pipeline stopped back in Sep timeframe. Good luck to all applying.

I assumed it meant "Vacation, Training, Other".....People who get VTO get to rebid after the regular bid on the flying "released" by those lineholders who have vacation, among other things....

It gets worse. Was flying a -8 painted in Etihad colors under a Giant callsign in the US. Many time you have to start the briefing with who we're going to be today.

Okay, I've got one...
DHL cargo on board a 767-300F in DHL colors, flying an airplane owned by DHL, but on the Atlas AOC, on a Polar route authority, with Atlas crews, and a Polar callsign...
Confused?...me too!!
