Not sure which class was the first to get this new benefit, but it was a fairly recent change...didn't apply to us.

HR is finally realizing that Atlas is not the only game in town any more and pilots will have a choice on where to go. Does Atlas also pay for the hotel in MIA? The hemorrhaging of pilots has only begun. Just a fact, not trashing Atlas.

It started applying about this time last year. In reality, it should have applied to everyone before that, too. I just don't think anyone wanted to speak up during training, and perhaps nobody was checking. Sec. 11.A.7.

Huh! Well ......Good for them. It would be nice to fix that training play as well. Only time I had to run a balance on a credit card. Hopefully they won't have to wait for O E as long as we did. Congrats all and welcome.

Paid travel started March 2013. Yes hotel in MIA is also paid for by the company.

Again, great thread guys. A lot of the info in this thread helped me with the assessment and also the phone screen. Because of that I have an interview next month!

Does anyone have updated info on approximately how long the swim in the pool is? I have an interview at another carrier and I am trying to plan ahead to assist my decision making. The other carrier has no pool to speak of and I would have to start immediately if hired. Thanks!

It depends on how well you do, this is not a first-in, first-out pool - it's competitive. If you're highly ranked, could be a short swim. If not, might be a while. If the company decides not to run a new-hire class for 6 months, doesn't matter if you're first or last in the pool.

Worry about it when the other carrier offers you a job.

Dec '12 767 class got it retroactively. You can request permission to drive and file a cash TER. Travel will know the deal.
