Do you get the app free when you buy the book or is that a separate cost?

App is separate cost, but I thought it was worth it to have both. I prefer to have the book to read and if I can't find something I use the app to do a word search.

I had the book and then bought the app. I then sold the book to an acquaintance. I'm all about packing as lightly as I can! It (or the app), plus the ATP question bank (also available as an app for as little as $9.99 on the App Store - search for "ASA Prepware") and the ICAO North Atlantic Operations and Airspace Manual (available as a download here: Documents ) should be a good starting point for preparation.

FYI at CVG: no hotel was set up for me at cvg for R2. Most hotels were sold out (including the Hilton) due to the weather so I went to Hyatt Place on the other side of the main road. Free breakfast and access to LA Fitness 2 doors down. They will drive you to any restaurant you want to go to.

Looks like the new process is:

-Email for Online Assessment
-If passed, phone interview
-If that goes well, immediate invitation to MIA interview

Phone interview was:
-Why Atlas?
-How do you feel about our trip lengths?
-What do you know about our gateway travel system?
-Why do you want to leave your current employer?

They were very friendly and all of the info so far on this board has been dead on. I recommend anyone interested read through it all.

Default Test before phone interview

Can anyone who has had the phone interview, or taken the online test recently tell me how much time passed between submitting an application and receiving an email for the online test? I submitted my app on Jan. 9th, expecting that, if I were selected for the phone interview, the phone call would come before the online test. Reading this forum, I learn that HR is now giving the online test before the phone interview. Just wondering, waiting, and prepping... BTW: excellent posts on prep for the test, interview(s), general process, etc. Thanks to all, even if I never get a call. (And, yes, I went back to the beginning of this thread.) Also, if any ex-World Airways guys are reading, I would welcome an email [email protected]. Blue skies...

Hi Jeff, I have been applying for 3 years and got the email this week. I have updated somewhat regularly although my last update was a few months ago.

I guess persistence pays off! I won't hold my breath too hard. Thanks for the reply. I was curious if the on line test was given more or less automatically, as part of the initial "do we even want to talk to this guy" screening. BTW: What are your (or anyone else) thoughts on updating, if you are on furlough status and don't really have anything to update? Is it worth resubmitting, just to get noticed/moved up the stack? Any inputs appreciated.

Wow, you got your ATP without studying? Impressive. I used the ATP test prep from Sheppard Air when I studied for the ATP test. Other choices may also be found using The Google. Good luck.
