The incredible shrinking airline continues. Sure glad our future rides on the 787 and 737-900 flying.

I expect a lot more parked in the next few years. Old 757s, 767s, 737s, etc. Hopefully the retirements coming will avoid furloughs from shrinkage. We better hold on scope or it's over.

Any more news reagrding the possible aircraft purchase that was being talked about before the end of 2011? Other sites rumoring both narrow and widebody purchases. Some even mentioned a possible launch customer for the B777MAX - which I hadn't heard of..

Carrot meet stick. Typical announcement during contract negotiations. I'm not saying it will not happen, but management is doing their job and I don't believe a word they say. **** UAL.

This is a very angry and nonsensical post.

yea, so what? Are you happy making below average pay at the word's largest airline?? Happy that UAL can spend 500M on aircraft interiors but can't make progress on a JCBA?? Especially you CAL guys. You voluntarily took concessions with no bankruptcy 1113 process. Doesn't that make you feel like a mark?? A sucker?? What's it been now?? 3 years since that concessionary contract became amendable. It's been 2 for us. As UAL drags out this JCBA longer and longer, getting every penny it can, my 2 favorite phrases are fuel burn and sick leave. Am I angry?? You bet.

Sled

PS. I don't know about CAL, but at UAL, sl pays a full 5hrs per day for rsv and trip value for line holders. VERY lucrative.

You guys are just too much. Everything is a crisis, plot, hidden meaning, or conspiracy. Everyone else is clueless, incompetent, evil, or management types. Collectively you people have got to be the most miserable lot I have ever encountered.
