It has got to be very frustrating for these brain surgeons. If only everyone else had their insight, we could all be collectively miserable.

In fact, they have not "liked" any of their CEOs. Of course they say they like Gordon but he isn't on the property anymore but if he was, they wouldn't like him either. They don't like our MEC but apparently their MEC wasn't much better. They don't like us 'cause we have "history." But, of course, they have "history" too. They fly around a bunch of Krap airframes but when the company announces replacements they don't like it. We get ps and they don't like that. It just goes on and on and on.

You have to look at history. What has the CAL group done in the last 30 years for the trade?? Scabbed, and eaten off the bones of carriers that they have raped and pillaged.......proud history. You dont have an industry leading contract, there is NOTHING there to be really proud of. You have some new iron.....BIG DEAL. Lots of small crap, WOW!!! Heck,
JetBlue has newer stuff that CAL, so what?? Yes you are correct, UAL pay sucks!! We put our emphasis on quality of life, that has value, you put yours in being able to fly 100 hrs a month, something UAL pilots would never do. So to tout you have some newer iron.....please, mine is bigger than yours, by a ratio of 6 to 1. You can keep the guppies, we will keep our 747's.
You sir, I have a feeling would NOT be there to help your profession if and when the calling comes. People that post as you do generally have their heads in the sand, and their eyes on the Chief Pilots door.
Perhaps I am wrong and you were just an abused child......I hope its the latter, then I truly do feel sorry for you...

Pardon me for dropping in again, but this particular forum doesn't translate well in the neutral observer/adult world.
As an aviation buff and some prior business, I'm lightly familiar with some of the issues being discussed. However, some on this thread are doing a great impersonation of a few first graders in a too-small sandbox. A few more adults and a few less children might do wonders.
Seriously, this is a public website. You guys are running a high risk of doing yourselves a disservice.
I fly the new UAL a lot (and the former CAL and former UAL). I'm having a difficult time establishing an adult connection between who and what I see entering the flight deck and what I'm observing on this forum.

Let's focus on the real threat to a good contract and it is NOT the UAL and CAL pilot group as whole

I was embarrassed and disgusted with the behavior I witness that day... I guess what I am trying to say is that I understand your observation clearly...
