Quote: I hate to see non dues paying non union pilots going through KCM. That's a program that those of us who paid dues over the last 10 years made happen.
Hahahaaa! I love it too!

Thing is, at this non-dues paying non-union airline, it is filled with ex-dues paying ALPA union airlines that all went poof and ALPA didn't so much as help them with obtaining any preferential interviews with other ALPA carriers. My non-dues paying non-union airline pays 100% for KCM. Certain dues paying union airlines, like Spirit, want pilot concessions in order to pay for KCM.

That guy definitely remembered he had a gun, he even gets to bypass.
What in the name of Fred Javier Smith Rodriguez are you talking about?? This guy can't legally carry a firearm any longer, much less bypass airport security. He is out of the damn system!!

No flame, but it was a GoJet pilot. There was a thread about him a while ago.

Nice try but the first incident was a Republic FA.

Yes, and if I must spell it out for you. You were griping about how FAs are ruining it for us and shouldn't be allowed through KCM because of the incident highlighted by the OP. Well, in this case, it was a pilot who was irresponsible with his gun, thereby proving my point that it's bad apples in general and not just FAs and what not. Now rampers, that's a different story... jk.... kind of.

They would take it away from the flight attendants before the pilots.

It is understandable that someone would forget that they had packed a gun, but to have disassembled it and then tried to clear security? What was she thinking? Why not spend your whole overnight looking for a gun case and ship the weapon back as a checked bag?

If all else fails, throwing the gun away would be cheaper than the legal fees!

A moment of clarity! ^^^^ Good post. It is amazing what happens when you apply a little common sense. Here is the deal though say this flight attendant bought the pistol to bring home for a collection or whatever. You could just check it in an approved case BUT you've still got import issues with any firearm unless it was an antique and doesn't fall under current regulations. The best and only legal way to import a weapon is to send through an export dealer and pay the fees to have it legally imported. It's going to cost you about $700.00.
