Don't have a whole lot of experience with celebrities, but most have been positive.

Back in my Beech 1900 days I flew Rev. Jesse Jackson and a few of his staff. Surprisingly he was quite down to earth and friendly. He was happy to chat with a couple of 20 something year old white boys for a few minutes. Not at all what I expected from him.

Flew the Smothers Brothers too (quite famous in the 60s and 70s for you younger folk), and they were quite nice.

Back in the 90s when I was working line service, a Raytheon Travelair King Air 200 came into the airport and needed cleaning. I got assigned the task. The cabin was destroyed, newspapers and garbage everywhere, food ground into the carpet, pet hair everywhere. Took a few hours to get the cabin looking good. Afterwards the pilots told me that it was Martha Stewart who made the mess. They had just dropped her off at her place in Maine. They said she was the biggest B they ever had to deal with. The reputation began long before her prison time.

A good friend flew for NetJets and he flew Jerry Seinfeld many times. He said he was okay, kind of the middle of the road as celebrities go. But he said Jerry definitely was not acting on his show, he really was exactly like his character.

Another story from my line service days. Not a famous person, that I know of, but a very wealthy person. So one day a GIV comes in and the flight attendant gets off and asks if one of us can drive her around to the airline terminal because she had to pick a kid up who was finishing his summer camp. That was the camp drop off point as most kids were airlining it home. So I drove her over to the other side. This 12 or 13 year old kid gets in with all of his stuff and the first question he asked was if his dad sent the GIV or the GV. When she replied the GIV, the kid threw a fit and complained that his dad was always trying to screw him because he never got to ride in the GV unless his dad was with him. The drive over to the other side of the airport was this kid whining about how the 40 minute flight home (we were in New Hampshire and he was flying to HPN) was going to be awful because he was stuck with the "****ty" GIV. Spoiled brat, I wanted to knock him into the next week.

Met quite a few celebs over the years, mainly in college while caddying golf matches. Have flown a couple actors that aren't well known, but have also flown Richard Petty, nice guy. My favorite passengers were a few of the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders back in Afghanistan. They came out to make the rounds to different FOBs and were all sweet and friendly. Best part of all, after being out there for a few months then having some really good smelling ladies on board, it made your day.

Found out today that a friend of mine recently flew Toby Keith and wife/entourage a few times. Good people he said.

Hall and Oates were pretty nice, Zach Ertz super friendly, the Pope of Egypt was an interesting flight. Especially when we were greeted in BUF with 100s of his followers singing songs of praise on the ramp..

Not a 121/135 guy, yet. However, I own my own plane in the NY area. Friend of mind who sometimes flies for an older and retired famous sports figure asks me if I'll give another "friend" of his a ride in my Cirrus. (At this point no idea who it is, etc. etc. etc. I don't even know it's a celebrity). Guy wants to experience GA and see if he would like to fly and own his own airplane. Sure dude I tell my friend but why don't you do it, he said won't be around.

So, I meet the "guy" at the FBO and though he looked somewhat familiar, I don't know him. However, I do notice there's a little commotion going on around the FBO. I'm oblivious to why. I take the guy to the airplane and the ritual begins, pre-flight, briefing, etc. etc. and the dude is engaged, asking questions and wanting to know stuff. He wants to learn to fly and in a Cirrus and I go, "well a Cessna 172 or Piper Warrior may be a bit cheaper." (this comes back to be embarrassing)

We fly around the NY area, his home in CT, the Hudson tour and are heading back to the airport when I ask him when he will train, where. "you know you should devote time and make it a priority." He giggles/laughs and and says, "well don't know if you recognize me, but I'm off about 4 months a year, I'll do it then." And how is that I ask and he tells me he plays pro xxxxx for a sport that I hate and don't watch and know little to anything about but apparently 90% of NY'ers do.

So we laugh and talk about it, and I tell him, tongue in cheek, I don't watch don't know much about it and if I did I'd be a fan for the cross town rival. Great convo about sports and flying on the way back and very cool dude. He offered to give me some cash for fuel and I said no thanks I love sharing aviation with folks.

As others have said here, just a normal guy. When we returned he was gracious with those at the FBO who wanted an autograph or selfie and he was on his way. About a week later I get a text from my friend saying there were 4 "player" tickets for me from the "guy" for an upcoming game, but I'm sure you don't want them so I'll take them. No way, I went to game and still hate the sport but I have a good story and someday can share the experience and real name!
