I guess famous people have good days and bad. I flew Ariana Huffington and she was polite and pleasant enough. Not saying she was the awesomest of awesome, but she most certainly fell into that "middle of the road" where most people, celebrities or not fall. She was pleasant enough when she said hello and when I asked how everything was going. She smiled politely every time I interacted with her.

Martha Stewart on the other hand......talk about miserable. Guess white collar prison will do that to a person!!!

Steve Carrell, Russell Crowe, Shaq, Martin Scorcese and Condoleeza Rice, stand out in my memory as being the nicer of the nice ones!

From a good source: (This may start a whole new thread) Chuck Norris is one of the nicest guys to meet and a generous tipper.

Chuck Norris doesn't leave tips... he leaves roundhouse kicks!

Flying 121, especially a lot of Lga/dca I've had a few.

Awesome:
racheal ray
Gene wilder
Josh Blue (comic with palsy)
John Glen
Chelsea Clinton (not a fan of the family, but she was very nice)
Bill O'Riley
Mitch McConnell

Not so awesome:
John McEnroe (tennis great)
Selena Gomez (total witch to a young fan who just wanted to say hi
Katie Couric

And the biggest jerk I've dealt with, who shouldn't even be a celeb,

Jared the Subway guy....who true to play the "do you know who I am" card when we he had to gate check his bag after boarding last, in coach, and the Bins were full

Back in '09 flew 5 Arizona Cardinals cheerleaders to Mexico. They were real sweet and let us take pics with them after landing.

Couple months ago flew Lee Janzen (pro golfer-winner of 2 US Opens) to a tourney in Missouri. Super nice guy, came up front after landing let us take a pic with him. I'm a huge Golf fan/addict so that was a real cool thing.

And sorry to say but no half eaten catering. My company treats me like a professional (read Big Boy for some) and allows me and my crew to rent as many cars and eat until our little hearts are content.

Gotta go, I think I see Travolta coming.

Nice recovery!

Years ago I flew a former First Lady, a widow and re-married by then. She was a real class act with a gracious manner. Sad part is I didn't have any idea who she was at the time!

Saw it and himself at an FBO in MSN a few years back. Turns out he was there for a stand up comedy show downtown on the UW campus. Thats was 2009/10ish..
I've flown Cosby in said PC12. Nice guy, sad to see the aging process however.

On New Year's Eve of 1999 going into 2000, I was working a 320 trip from MEM to LAX. We had about 30 people on the plane due to Y2K concerns on a electric jet. 5 of those were Rick Springfield and his band. They got up and sang "Jessy's Girl" I thought the FA's were going to faint or, well, you can imagine!

Back in the early 90s had William Schatner on an Int'l flight going to Europe somewhere. As I always did, would go back prior to the flight, thank the firsts for their biz and try and answer any questions they might have....not focusing on Capt. Kirk. Got to him last and got the "look son......I've been flying for, etc." Well, guess my toolness got to me, but when I did the intro PA, I happened to mention that Capt. CURT (true) was on board and that after the flight he would be more than happy to answer any all questions. Could not bear to see the aftermath.

Another real gem was Alex Trebek. LGA to CVG through to SDF so he stayed on board (727) in CVG. Wouldn't talk to the crew, ok, but at the end of the flight decided to let everyone know he was on board as the pax deplaned through the forward entry. Stood in front of the FAs and the copilot who made the landing and made it known......"I was onboard and you were lucky I was"...paraphrasing his act.

The only 2 that really stood out. Most have been stellar, but far and few between now on 121. Katarina Witt of E. Germany figure skating could not have been nicer. MUC-ATL for the 96 Olympics. Prior to the flight we invited her up for the "tour", she signed some pictures of her with a personal msg to all three of us on each photo, and posed for pics. Just a nice nice young woman. Believe it was before her Playboy "pictorial".
