Yes it is 65 wet, I am not sure where I am underestimating costs, I know there are test fees and ground school and headset, ect, but I am estimating 100per hour at 250 hours 25k should be doable right. Because it wont cost more than 85/per hour with an instructor, and for a lot of the hours I will be solo and just pay the 65 I guess,so there is a lot of fluff built into that 100/hour 25k estimate. If I am wrong on this please elaborate how so I know.
Also yes in theory military training would be nice, but as a college grad my options are limited(no rotc or academy), AF just cancelled all OTS boards and it was super competitive anyways. Who knows maybe after private or instrument I will get on with a reserve unit. I dont really know what the climate is in the other branches, but assumed they probably are getting hit with budget drawbacks too.
I really cant figure out how most people get into this as a career being so expensive, how did you all go about getting all the money to do it? I know there are lots of flight school so there must be some market
