When speculation has run its course there is always time to chew on the mods for any imagined slight.

Some of us can carry a gunnysack full of grudges for years.

Maybe we can talk about ALPA for a while.

And when you have no defense, break out ALPA gripes.

That was a joke, but I can see your sense of humor has gone way south.

Is it time to start a new category?; maybe titled "I feel offended" or "Take it Outside"...

Folks, the answer is simple:

Not just a job, its an adventure

Good grief Tony, go have a beer.

Sorry to see this situation get the best of folks - to a large degree this is understandable - the scenario is a difficult one at best, and most theories short of Giorgio announcing aliens are failing to explain the inconclusive (and potentially) incorrect data/explanations we are receiving. Until a final conclusion is drawn, there will only be more- and less-likely explanations.

I am newbie and a flyer too, except I mostly don't control my fate - I am just a passenger. You have done an excellent job at delivering me or my packages to the right place, or kept my home safe - for that I thank you and my family and I will be always grateful.

But post-9/11, I came to understand there is something I can control - my reading onboard situations, taking note of important cues, and taking appropriate responses that can protect me or my fellow passengers. That's why I joined this board, to learn from you gentlemen and also to ask questions that, at times, may appear too simplistic. Some of these questions have to be asked because after 9/11 your fate and my fate as a passenger became more intertwined than before.

If I had been in MH370, unless I had traveled that leg often, I wouldn't know the difference between flying N or W, whether a sharp turn was warranted, or whether I was flying at FL300 or FL400 unless the crew informs me. Add 2am in a BFE time zone. It would be very easy for a pilot to take a plane somewhere else, to simulate a situation in the cabin and decompress, to take me FL high or low. That's scares me. Need to learn how to read these things so I can proactively help those who can be helped.

The captain intended to fly into the Petronas Towers or Malaysian government buildings as a protest/martyr revenge action, but after offing the passengers and turning toward land, I think he thought better of it, and just navigated the plane to a watery grave.

This reminds me of an A-10 RTU student and his final flight from Tucson to Colorado. Craig D. Button - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I think Button and the Malaysian captain both intended to do worse, but somewhere after the initial action, even though they knew there was no turning back, they also recovered a small bit of sanity and at least didn't do more harm than they already had.

Interesting that we couldn't locate Button's A-10 for three weeks. Over land. In the U.S.

Makes me think we will possibly never locate this plane.

Ever heard of sarcasm? If not.... go blame a moderator on it.

(not once have you ever been given an infraction, yet you resort to going after moderators when you don't agree with them.)

Do you have a source for this ?

It's a theory. I'm just wondering out loud. Total speculation.

I doubt the FO did it. Maybe new info about him will surface. I do think it had to be one of the two in the cockpit. That leaves the captain, who appears to be the main focus of investigation at the moment.
