Quote: End of the Richard measurement contest.

Unless you've flown a Howard 500 that comes in for a close second in cool factor but it lacks slightly for the grand prize.
That is funny. BTW, there's 2 things you never tell a pilot are small, one's his airplane, I forget the other. Maybe it was his wristwatch.

Take it fwiw.
You sound like Mesa material. I think you should go for it.

Quote: When you have 121 FOs getting hired with zero TPIC, It makes me question mine, and anyone else's decision to go to AMF if your end goal is a major 121. Fact: 95% of the pilots at AMF end up at a regional anyway. Sorry, but I would wager even Mesa has a better QOL than a UPS schedule at AMF.

I would argue that depending on your base at AMF, there isn't a single 121 carrier that doesn't have a better QoL. Certainly you're going to get more time off flying 121.

Long and short, if you want to fly 121, just go 121.

The QoL in CVG is absolutely terrible. The runs are brutal, and since the base is so understaffed, people have a hard time getting any time off. Most of the runs fly 6-7 days a week. You fly out on Sunday afternoon, and return Saturday morning. Rinse and repeat...week after week.

The worst part is that the pilots in CVG are some of the most senior in the company. Those guys have been there 6-7 years, and still doing that schedule.
