You obviously have no experience in an SA227 III or IV. Having flown 20 and 30 series Lears, and both SA227 aircraft single pilot (which by the way, both fly NOTHING like a Merlin) I can honestly say that the SA227 is much more challenging to fly. That being said, it was the best time I've ever had flying an aircraft. If I could fly it for the salary I make now, I'd do it in a heartbeat. There are those that live the "Tube" and those that don't. I miss it more than any other aircraft I've flown.

I assume you are talking about the carrier and not the star ship. Coincidentally, I DID land a metro on the deck of the Enterprise during my last recurrent. (Simulator, of course.) With no tail hook. Just going into full reverse just PRIOR to touch down. (A real world no-no.)

In the end, I got what I wanted out of that question.
K, I will stop so you guys can continue your Metro circle jerk.

Seems like all that's needed now is a ruler so they can measure.

End of the Richard measurement contest.

Unless you've flown a Howard 500 that comes in for a close second in cool factor but it lacks slightly for the grand prize.

This is a first. Never before, have I heard such affection for the Swineliner. One thing is for sure, there will almost certainly never be a group of pilots dedicated to restoring one for the airshow circuit.

Don't you mean "San Antonio Sewer Pipe", "Texas Tampon", and or "Death Tube"? I know a few more but think I'll leave them out.

Everybody's got to have a first love...

When you have 121 FOs getting hired with zero TPIC, It makes me question mine, and anyone else's decision to go to AMF if your end goal is a major 121. Fact: 95% of the pilots at AMF end up at a regional anyway. Sorry, but I would wager even Mesa has a better QOL than a UPS schedule at AMF.

Take it fwiw.
