Quote: And Delta sends them packing to where exactly? The street? Then what, when the EtD pilot applies to Delta, he/she is not eligible for employment until they complete their captain stint at an airline that no longer exists?
That is correct. Outta luck, thanks for playing.

Common sense would say the whole no-interview is meant for these EtD folks who (if ever) upgrade, 2 years as CA, and then head to Delta. No having to re-interview. If Endeavor shuts down, again common sense would dictate no pilot fulfills the 2-yr CA requirement. Therefore, the agreement cannot be honored since a stipulation was not fulfilled. It would be a reasonable expectation that at this point, you'd apply to Delta and do the normal OTS interview like everybody else.
Quote: Exactly right. That is really bad advice on Mesabah's part.
Then where do EtDs go if 9E shuts down? Regardless of what happens to 9E, EtDs do not have to re-interview to Delta, that is publicly stated.

They go look for another job, just like everyone else at Endeavor...

That's correct, they find that other job at Delta mainline.

They have not met the criteria for their placement at Delta without their time as captain... no job.
3 of the 4 from the September class are military 20+ year guys (pensions) that have all been in the UAV seat for some time (not flying current, anywhere from 4 to 10 years since touching an airplane) That's why they've come here rather than a major. They need currency then every one will be applying to a major, not waiting 5+ years to go to Delta. These guys don't have that many years left to waste 5+ years here. The 4th is a younger CFI/135 world guy that might actually be trying to stick it out for Delta though I haven't talked to him personally to know for sure.

Yes, IF they meet the publicly stated requirements then they go to Delta. They never have to interview again IF they meet those requirements. That is what the agreement says. It would be smart for an EtD candidate to ask this in an interview and request it in writing. If EtDs go straight to Delta before other 9E pilots regardless of program, there will be lawsuits and large settlements. Which is why it won't happen. All Delta has to say to the EtD is, Sorry, you were unable to fulfill your end of the contract, here is the same severance as everyone else. If what you say is true then I'm sure that would be part of the literature and we would have no problem staffing.

The bridge agreement also says that everyone on the seniority list gets an SSP interview once they make Captain. If we shut down before I make Captain should I just assume I'll automatically get an interview? No.

I don't really care either way but we were told Delta is a company that stands behind their word. Are you saying that isn't the case? Why would they take the time to find the best candidates they can only to screw them over? These people have been hired by Delta under the Delta interview processs. Wouldn't this be acting in bad faith to trick these people into working at Endeavor with no intention of ever taking them at Delta? I bet it works out for these people one way or another. I think you will see them at Delta in less than 5 years. Delta will either make Endeavor viable or will take on the EtDs in the result of a shutdown.

Anyone care to chime in on this assertion?

You could also argue that Delta, by not giving out class dates to etd FO's in the event of a shutdown, are in fact keeping their word and the agreement.
