Quote: Well, clearly we have someone who is in that 5% category....
LOL.... I'd agree that the last half of that rant is accurate though!

One can not be in that so called 5% and still find his post 100% accurate. I get the feeling that people's patience is wearing thin waiting for the company to honor the whole CBA. I know many people with apps out...they don't really want to leave, but don't see it ever getting better.

Quote: This may be a little optimistic, given what can be read on our FB page. The company is playing games with the grievance process in that they are violating the contract by making up policies that have no root in the CBA and waiting it out to save money or counting on ambivalence. They invent a penumbra when it comes to pay and scheduling, but stick whole-heartedly to limits that are more conservative to FAR 117, with no personal waiver authority. We're seeing really bad pay protect errors. The lines are restricted to the very senior and almost half to 2/3s of the list are on pure reserve or composite schedules. On top of that, we have some db@g senior guys whining about their 95 hour lines and not being able to pick up a 200% trip because the company violated their own policy (or just don't care) and some junior guy managed to pick it up in open time while on min guarantee (i.e. it's supposed to be in open time 48 hours prior and not a VFN, but the contract allows the company to issue VFNs for 200% pay at their leisure). For which the junior guys are being labeled as jerks, etc. The company isn't paying people properly and they appear to still be unconcerned...apparently the crew payroll position is one person...for 700+ pilots and who knows how many FAs.
All valid concerns, however we have a corporate culture that is still making the mental changover from being staunchly anti-union to dealing with their new reality... and meanwhile we have a full changeover in IBT leadership, and it will take our new guys time to get settled in and start advocating on our behalf.

CBA compliance was always going to be problem. I think everyone knew that, or should have known that. AAY didn’t invent anti-unionism; I think that’s been the case for all airlines for a while now. Hence the union insisted on dues check off, when M.G. stated he would never sign off on. That’s what the grievance process is for. Will we prevail, maybe. Or not. Will resolution happen immediately, not likely. The teamsters operate under the same system that is preordained for all airlines.

Everyone is hiring. I don’t understand why anyone who is overly frustrated with the CBA, management and/or the union isn’t already gone, or waiting for a class date. Bed bugs and/or a commute to a beautiful domicile are there for the taking.

Does anyone have link to the G4 page that showed pilot schedules based on domicile? Been googling for the past hour with no luck.

That website you are looking for has been gone for some time.

Well crap. That was a really nice feature. Wish more airlines did that.
