The management doesn't realize is that most if not all are now looking for other places of employment. Based on what they have applying here now, they are soon to find themselves with a severe brain drain leaving many canceled flights or worse. They will soon lose their lucrative DOD contracts!
The last time I was in my seat and actually flew the airplane was over 145 days ago. Since then I have traveled on other airlines 10 times - 7 of those wonderful multi leg connections in the middle seat in the last row. Sat in crap inn hotel chain 81 days with the finest truck stop eateries to chose from. Reset landings in the Simulator twice, plus a PC Check. And my next wonderful assignment is a nice wonderful 3 leg commercial travel to the far reaches of the world to sit in the Jumpseat and experience the fun of watching a former RJ guy read back an oceanic clearance. And I can read the latest company crap letter explaining that IBT won't let me vote on a 41% pay increase. I'm still trying to figure out the algorithm that was used to get that number. If I'm still at this crap hole when a contract is presented to the pilot group. I don't care what the company offers. I vote NO!
In this latest communication from the company, they blame their inability to retain and hire pilots on the union for not putting forth the company’s offer for a vote. For me, the reason I’m leaving is not because I don’t have an opportunity to vote on their offer (which would be no), but because of the offer itself and refusing to work on putting together something that might actually be ratified by the pilots. When the company compares their new “fair” contract to Southern and Amerijet’s, time to go. And I know I’m not alone.
Why come to Omni?
After reading previous post in both forums, and living most if not all shortcoming here at Omni. I can't think of any reason to apply here. If you are a current and qualified pilot with a job, probably smarter to stay at your current job. If you elect to come to Omni you are definitely putting your career on hold (financial and flight time speaking). Smarter to stay put, or get started at many of the other companies hiring with better work conditions and pay.

What about the current contract?
Most pilots will say we sold out and should not have signed, but we did so we must live with the outcome. The problem is Tulsa fails to comply with the current contract so why should the pilot group believe anything will change. The taradiddles being released from Tulsa just make it easier for the "NO" vote. Why do we have to negotiate (for months) to get a crew member back home for a family emergency or death. So all of that said, Omni will have to start at a 82% offer just to get me to consider the contract.
Yours Truly
Logbook & Resume in hand.
I've seen over the years that Omni will not get you home in the event of a loved ones' illness or death. That is truly deplorable. But what they will do is send you somewhere to sit 2hr call, give you a trip, then send someone else in to do the trip instead because they realized that the trip will put you over guarantee. That's the waste they do on a daily basis.
Yes, very hard to accept any of the rhetoric out of Tulsa. Tens of thousands of dollars are mishandled on a daily basis. This is one more reason that if Tulsa doesn't change we will all be out of a job.
It didn't look like there was very much traffic at the Omni booth during the last job fair. The Omni pilot representatives looked like they were job hunting themselves! Having FOs and HR as your booth reps doesn't give one much confidence about making a jump from the frying pan of the Regionals.

I didn't even recognize the pilots who were there. Must be new employees.
Atlas pilots have stopped helping serve Kompany Kool Aid at job fairs.

Company doesn't even ask anymore.

I think there were more Omni pilots at the job fair than "Pilots" in line at the Omni table.
