Someone PM’d me. I was hoping cadet would help your pilot seniority but it’s more like just benefit seniority..
Was hoping I could be a cadet for a year. Get hired and go to a domicile like DOH+9mo. Appears not. Not a true early seniority program like say GOJET/TSA

If anyone is giving out seniority dates to people who don't work there, that's a giant problem. What you are asking for is to jump ahead of people who are already working for the company. You may want to think hard about that attitude.

The TSA program requires you to go to indoc to start seniority. You only get 90 days of seniority before you have to be in ground school. If you don’t make it by then it’s still just 90 days on a rolling scale. Now one thing that I’ve seen people get confused about is the difference between seniority and longevity. Most of the rotor programs and cadet programs let you build longevity with the company while in the program but not seniority.
An example: If you’re in a cadet program for 9 months and training for 3 months it is possible to hit the line on year two pay but your seniority will be based on the day you went to indoc or 90 days whichever is closer.

My point is that seniority is the only thing that is sacred at the airlines. Complaining to anyone that you can't leapfrog the line is going to get you labeled something you don't want to be. Just sayin'.
