For OP, if you go on the CRJ at SkyWest upgrade right now is basically when you hit the minimums. With no 121 hours plan on about a year and a half for upgrade if you fly a lot. Most junior bases right now for FOs are basically DTW and ORD.

I was considering SkyWest for ORD base. Figured I could get a line right out of training.
Thanks in advance

Well, currently it’s 6 mos from doh till you hold a build-up line in CVG. It’ll ebb and flow some. I don’t know by how much. The ability in driving to base should weigh heavily in your decision.

What about answering this question now? Moving to either base.
Short-term goals: 121 time-building, total salary, participating in Training Department, QOL.
Major airline as a long-term goal.

I’ve heard some bad things about training at PSA. SkyWest training is fine. CRJ is pretty backed up but i think the ERJ is moving along.

Besides that, just don't commute. If you are moving to any base it doesn't matter.

Pay is good at both places now. I think PSA has that SAP thing or whatever so there schedules might suck marginally less. Who knows.

As a former skw guy… I would go to the place with the union and with fewer mainline partners. Balanced with the first class date.
