Don’t need an “excuse”. It’s a statement of fact. Skywest almost totally destroyed XJT. If you don’t like it, complain to your school council SAPA. You won’t be on my jumpseat.

Class act, blames poor management on a pilot group of more than 5,000.

... and wouldn’t want take your jump seat anyways and listen to your ignorant moaning and bickering the whole flight.

It’s hard to parse out exactly what happened but that’s what I’m personally gathering based on the communications, so take it for what it’s worth.

Based on what I've learned, these discussions have been going on for something like 2+ years now and every UAX carrier was brought to the table to discuss and negotiate and massage the priority to get to where we are. I'm sure some carriers took offense or dug in and refused to change their position. I will also allow that there are two sides to every story, but UALALPA did not do this in a vacuum.

According to the email sent to UA pilots by the union and the pilot bulletin put out by United Flight Ops, the three non-exclusive carriers (Mesa, Skywest and Republic) can still move up the priority list if they agree to the changes, as Go-Jet did.

Ignoring any dispatchers, the new UA jumpseat priority on UAL metal is:

1. UA pilots by seniority
2. UAX exclusive pilots (XJT, ARW, CMT, TSA) by date-of-hire
3. UAX non-exclusive pilots (Go-Jet) by date-of-hire
4. All other airline pilots (Mesa, SkyWest, Republic, American, Delta, FedEx, Spirit, etc.) by time of check-in.

So Mesa, SkyWest and Republic can move up to priority level #3 if they agree to the changes. As of now, these non-exclusive UAX carriers are lumped in with every other airline pilot. Similar priority appears in the Express grids, but the big asterisk is that an own carrier's pilots will ALWAYS have priority on their own metal.

Mesa guy here....nobody is getting denied the Jumpseat. It’s just the priority has been redone. United pilots are the same as Delta to us now. And when we Jumpseat on them, we’re also at the bottom of their list. Certainly no Out and out denials though.

Those aren't the instructions your Union gave you. Check again unless you plan on breaking Union ranks.

Allllllll the time in the hotel vans! ExpressJet pilots are the absolute worst with the complaining. I honestly don’t think I’ve rode with one crew that wasn’t complaining about something. But everything is great there apparently, mama United has there hand.....

I’m not sure why the beef with ANY express carriers. What did we do, or more so, have control over in this decision? So you mean to tell me that if a pilot (with a family, kids, wife, girlfriend, dog, life outside the airline) that works at a UAX Exclusive carrier is the ONLY pilot listed for the JS on an absolutely full flight, you’ll look that pilot in the eyes and deny them a ride home?

We need a flow here, every other regional has a CPP or Flow, yet we got nothing... it’s time for a change.
