we are only getting a few new ERJs. the lions share of the planes used to cover compass' flying out west will be planes currently used out of LGA, DTW, and MSP. i think we get 6 CPZ planes and are replacing 7 -900 orders with 175s. i would bet LGA is closed ( or closing) by july 1.

So there’s not really a whole lot of new ERJ flying, it’s just moving out west it sounds like?

thats what it sounds like to me. movement seems to be very quick at this company with 2 notable exceptions;ERJ CA and west coast CRJ CA (not including DEN/COS). lots of movement on the FO side and east coast CRJ CA but the 175 CA side seems to be pretty stagnant outside LGA. PNW was the worst but it seems like SEA will get a healthy boost in the coming months.

Lots of ERJ-CRJ captains. And no struggles.. think CRJ-ERJ is harder just do to automation/FMS differences.

I've heard different from a lot of the CRJ sim instructors and check airmen. They say ERJ initial to first time CRJ captain upgrades struggle pretty hard, but going the other way is a cakewalk.

This, always easier to go to a more automated plane than the other way around.

I'd say it depends on the person. I went from a beechjet to the 175 and found the automation to be more of a learning curve.

Beechjet has almost zero automation and it's simple. Some of the 175 automation is kind of wacky to learn.
