Default Any crj 200 landing technique?

Hello everyone. I just did my first two IOE trip this week on crj 200.

Everything went fine except for landings...
So different than what ive been trained from the sim.

Any technique or tip?
I either flare too much or not flaring enough..... I still dont have the sight picture yet

Thanks in advance!

Have you flown a Baron or a Cessna 310? If you have, it's very similar. But if you haven't, keep the nose pointed down until you hear 10. Then level off and flare a little just enough so that the mains will touch before the nose. Keep it simple, it will come.

To piggyback on this comment the flair at 10 is like a little bump of back pressure rather than a GA Cessna style flair it until it stalls thing. 200 is pretty forgiving for landings. The 700/900 though......

Attempt to crash on the markers. At 50’ Thrust levers idle. At 20’ decide you don’t want to die.

Been a few years, but power to idle at 50ft, keep nose pointed down. At 10ft level off....once you get it, it’s very hard to have a bad landing in the -200. You really don’t need to flare much in the 200.

Compared to other jets, if you feel like your arse is scrapping the pavement in the flare, that's about right... the trailing link will take care of the rest.

Don't worry about your attitude, worry about your height.

Keep looking at the ground, and if you're getting closer to it, then start getting closer to it more slowly. If you're not getting closer to it, then get closer to it.
