Health Insurance Waiting Period?
Hi there! What is the waiting period for new Skywest employees until they qualify for medical coverage? Also, does that waiting period/probationary period begin when you start training or after training is completed?

First day of the month following 60 days of employment. If you’re a cadet this MAY be different. This actually caused me to have to extend cobra longer than I thought from my previous employer because I received a health insurance card at first a few weeks after I got employed but then got notified it was a mistake and taken away until 60 days plus the days leading into the new following month. I was a January 8th hire, got it on April 1st.

Just reviving this thread up to get an update.
Is the 60 day period from date of hire the date i was sent the CJO email (with the mention of DOH)? or is the date of hire started when i start training which will be next month for me.
Also in order for skywest to contribute to HSA plans does the employee (me) need to match that contribution as well for that to kick in?
