if your serious, maybe envoy? dont know of too many CRJ FOs at skywest that are not flying a lot. fwiw DFW upgrade is probably 2 years out. I would use your time as an FO to prepare for upgrade and try to learn a thing or too. how long ago was your 121 time?

Insert South Park "You're gonna have a bad time" meme.

18 years...I didn't go Envoy because of the displacement and forced upgrade to LGA for 1000 hour 121 folks. I'm simply not ready to upgrade right away.

Yet your original post says you don't want to "spin wheels as an SIC". You're gonna have a hard time at SkyWest with that attitude. I for sure don't want that attitude in the flight deck.

...and right on time, the haters come out...Read my posts, sir. I have no need of SIC time...I have well over 2000 hours of Part 121 flight time and some of that as PIC. Logically, logging SIC time is not necessary for me as I have the time to upgrade immediately. However, I have been out of flying in the Part 121 environment long enough to know that I am not ready to upgrade immediately as Envoy would force me to do. Basically, I am not chasing the hours necessary to upgrade and I'm in no hurry, therefore, no need to sacrifice time with family. I am certainly willing to "pay my dues" which I'm sure is where you were going with that comment.
