It's going to be fine
depends on your definition of fine - 95 hour lines, significantly below min reserve coverage etc. yes - all on track for that.

What downturn, exactly? You said in 2018, here at APC,

And that’s the problem. Gulping the Kookaid. How many boom/bust cycles you been through? How many furloughs? When the economy hits the skids next year, you’ll get a nasty wake up call.
You said that very thing here in 2018 on the SkyWest forums. Since you said that, SkyWest is growing more than it ever has. They can't even fill classes at the moment.

I'm just wondering what downturn you are referring to? Not only that, what virus? The corona virus? The one that has killed 77,000 so far? Ignoring other viruses like hepatitis and the flu? Those one's that kill millions more that people don't seem to care about anymore?

I'd love your crystal ball.

Do people really not think SGU thinks these things through?

And no, OO is not short-staffed. You can't even get a class date within 6 months at the moment. And that is running 100+ pilots through per month.

Not short staffed? When's the last time you were able to drop or swap pairings?

there is a big difference between the company's, and pilots definition of “short staffed”..

And there is only one that matters.

Last time I dropped a pairing? February. I haven't tried in the last week or two. Other pilot I flew with had also dropped this month.

I don't think not being able to drop trips is what defines short staffed. Obviously the crews would love that, but SkyWest always runs a lean operation. They'll never have so many pilots where you can drop/swap at will.

"At will"? More than once or twice in the last 5 years would be nice.

P.S. There was a time when we could drop or swap trips more regularly.

Like when nobody was hiring and everyone was stagnant?
