exactly. They have just put 20 million into extending the life and reliability of the 200’s. Doubt they would do that if they weren't 100% confident they would not be flying in a year.. And for the 9E poster. You do know SkyWest leases you (technically Delta) 40+ engines for your aircraft right....

Our CEO has been going around recurrent classes and publicly stating we’re taking 15 or so 200’s from Skywest. I guess they are the ones that do the pro rata flying and Skywest doesn’t have an appetite for that flying anymore. Not happy that you’re losing flying, that is just what is being said. Timeframe is late 2020/early 2021.

So OO is just going to drop the routes and lease 9e 15 -200’s that we just put money into?
Interesting.
Otherwise, does 9e have spare airframes lying around?

when he says “Airplanes” he means Engines. The 40 CRJ 200 engines that Delta is leasing from SkyWest For 9E start showing up in that time frame.. Tons of used 200’s out there that just need some good engines on them.. ProRate is OO’s best keep secret. Huge money maker.. Not to mention thats airline specific. 9E would have to bid on those routes during the government EAS bid..
a growing part of SkyWest “Inc” is The leasing division.. OO leases 30 aircraft to GoJet, 8 to AirCanada Jazz. Maybe Endeavor is next. Sure Delta would love to shed some cost and responsibility financially off. And just lease the aircraft/engines.. Balance sheet looks less exposed for Delta and SkyWest gets even greater discount to Suppliers... Did you know SkyWest is GE’s largest partner for engines.... Ect..
