The thing I can't stand about the "let's fly real slow" guys here is that they do *everything* slow.
Like walking through the terminal on the way to the overnight, and Gramps over here is walking so slow, I want to call one of those airport electric carts to give him a ride. Or the agonizingly slow 15 minute 'let me take my time to deplane' these guys do at the day's end when the next crew is already on the jetbridge waiting for us and clearly p&&Ed off that they'll miss MST.
I mean seriously. I kinda get flying slow, but sheesh! It should not take you 20 minutes to get out of an RJ and another 20 to shuffle to the curb...

Chill Dude
Actually I'm former OO and I thought it was crazy that AA scheduled such a short hop and knowing that well, pilots being pilots, there would be some competition here to set the quickest off to on times. I'm fond of OO and their pilot group it was a great experience for me. I'm now on the bottom ten percent of the list at my dream airline but I dont spend my whole day every day dreading things I cant control, its important to find something to laugh about its good for your health and sanity. I though this topic was amusing and thought others might agree. EGE-ASE is for the big boys and girls. DMA pilots rock. Leave my SkyWest brothers and sister alone Dude!

Why would you go fast? You're paid by the minute. If you fly the scheduled block: YOU make more money, SkyWest makes more money, uses less fuel, the gate is open when you arrive, and you only have 3 hours and 50 minutes to sit in the airport (instead of 4 hours)! WIN-WIN-WIN!
I learned really late in my career at SkyWest that if you just tell ATC on initial center contact what you expect your TAS will be, they get you out of the way and it doesn't hold up the line. I knew that from the AIM, but never had anyone actually do it in my FO days. It works wonders.
