They asked but said it’s really going to come down to operational need and asked if I was flexible. I was previous CRJ and said I still preferred it but would be happy with either.

3rd on this question too. 6/22 class. Interesting that the first week is all remote ground from the hotel but it works for me.

What is the monthly hire count going to be? They have 29 use CRJ-700s coming and 20 new ERJs coming for American I believe.

Has anyone that has applied recently (and had no CJO from 2020) heard anything?

I'm assuming it's going to be a while after all the CJOs are gone through.

Just trying to plan. I'm interviewing with another airline but would prefer to fly with SkyWest due to base locations.

I was in the Pilot Pathway Program pre-Covid. Does anyone know if they’ll still be doing the “guaranteed interview” or do I need to start a new application? I’ve emailed [email protected] and haven’t heard anything but understand they’re swamped with folks applying.

Talking Start Date Confirmed!! ERJ

Hey, fellas just wanted to update you that I did get a start date confirmed in the ERJ for 6/22. I am so relieved and excited to get started!

Edit: Just to add some reference info for those who are wondering. I did have a previous start date and CJO slotted for August of 2020.

I'm in the program and submitted an application. There's a line asking if you are currently employed by Skywest (including Cadet programs), so I guess it couldn't hurt right?

You need to apply for the First Officer position while logged in with your Cadet profile. Just make sure you upload an updated resume, and answer the questions provided. Once you've completed that, your dashboard should show two jobs applied for. The Cadet position should state "Hired" (just as it always has), and the First Officer position should say "Application Received."
