CRJ training resumed in March. You should be good to go.

Anyone know how far out SkyWest can offer a CJO? I retire from my current employer after Christmas, would like to start in Jan if possible.

They can offer you a CJO after your interview and after the internal decision process they do. What you should be focused on is when you can get a class date. However, right now, they are not placing people in classes until they reach their respective minimums fully. Lately, they’ve had to remove people from classes because they tried to cut it close and ended up not getting their hours in time. January could be possible for a class, but it’s totally circumstantial on your flight time, and when you interview.

Thanks. I will apply next month once I hit my 5 month mark out from retirement. I'm currently at 1700tt with ATP written completed. Hopefully I will be found qualified

If that’s the case, I’d just apply now. Maybe someone else on here can backup or give different advice. But if you’re with those qualifications, just apply now since interview slots are currently a little sparse and class dates are backed up a bit. If they catch up with class dates and they try to put you in an August one or something, you can just tell them you need to wait a bit for Jan. They shouldn’t have a problem with that. Only thing is that you need to be aware of is you can’t sit more than 6 months until you need to re-interview. I don’t think I have that straight, so maybe someone else can verify.

Breaker11 Thanks, I believe your correct about the 6 month interview. I searched back several pages on the tread and read it also.

Is that six months from the CJO or six months from the first interview?

What have the lead times on class dates been lately for the CRJ?

I haven't been assigned a class date yet (CRJ), just waiting on finishing one last requirement before they'll assign me one. If I get the ATP-CTP course done myself, will that speed things up at all when being assigned a class date?

Not by much, and you’ll be out 4 grand if you do it yourself. The wait for a class date is dependent on OO’s training department, not the ATP-CTP.

Anyone have word on if the gaps between indoc/ground/sim are still happening on the ERJ?
