SkyWest not the best route to big three
#75
I have picked up several trips for triple time in the not too distant past, I was making more per hour than a wide body captain during those times I wanted to "work harder". Even if the schedules for those trips weren't ideal, I feel like my compensation for them more than made up for it.

What do you think is going to stop it? When the big 3 return to normal hiring numbers, which is beginning to happen, the regionals won't need to try so hard to keep people. At best, regional pay will stagnate for a long, long time.

The company has thrived on being a stop on the way to a better job and they have resorted to becoming quicksand instead of a stepping stone.
My problem is with the people that run it claiming to want help get you to where your ultimately want to go when they do not. They are hypocrites that claim to be moral church going people when they are really just greed driven like everyone else. They are simply liars and theives (by stealing career advancement from their employees they claim to value)
It's a great company if you want to fly a nice 175, live in cool base, and fly a regional schedule. For most that schedule is not ideal to fly for an entire career. But to each there own.
