Default CJO and getting assigned a class

Hi

So I just got the CJO at 1230 TT and obviously very excited and cant wait to finish up the hours, I was asked when I was expecting to reach the 1500, I'm wondering if I will get now/soon a class date assigned according to the date I expect OR I will only be assigned a class after the point I reach the 1500?, and if so could it be that I'll finish the 1500 just few days before the class and still make it or usually the classes are closed/full for some time before they even start?

Also what is the time limit to meet the requirement on the CJO?

Couldn't get an answer from the recruiter email, so would like to hear from your experiences so ill know if I have a chance to make it to the closest class date even though I might finish the hours pretty close to the start date.

Thanks!

They will assign a class when you finish your hours, so the estimate you give them doesn’t impact your class date. You will need to *at least* meet the minimums for a R-ATP cert in 61.160/61.159, -25 multi engine hours that you will acquire in the FFS in training. Hope this helps.

+1 for the above reply. Once you hit mins you’ll get one. Adding on to the previous reply, I believe you have 6 months until you need to re-interview.

Congrats!
Have they resumed FO hiring?
I live close to a CRJ base and thinking of applying. How is training on the CRJ side these days? Any delays?

I let SkyWest know I had my 1,500 July 26 and got a class date of October 2nd on August 12th CRJ, and ATP-CTP September 22nd. Asked what ERJ class date were and she said December.

When you get a CJO, how long do you have until you need to accept / decline?

There will be a deadline in the email/document. Usually a few days.

I got my CJO today and the recruiter told me that due to smaller class sizes, the wait is about 4-6 months for a class date, which will only be assigned once you hit ATP mins. She also said that it didn't matter which plane I pick because right now, their wait times are the same.
