Default Interview question about recency

So I finally got the email where I can schedule an interview. My problem is, I don't have many hours logged in the last 6 months. No I'm not currently flying as a job, I fly occasionally with friends to maintain currency. I've heard elsewhere that they will not move you to the next step, no matter how well the interview goes, if you don't have X amount of hours logged in the last several months. So my question is, should I defer the interview, and try again when I get some recency, or suck it up and go through with the interview anyway?

Do you have time to get an instrument refresher check before the interview? Preferably in a twin? It’d be money well spent.

How many hours logged, in what, in the last six months?

How much do you want the job?

Bro, better start flying before the interview, unless you don’t want the job

How many hours and what were you doing for work?

Odd to hire a professional pilot who’s not flying as a professional pilot post 250hrs
