I’m referring mostly to your trollish posts history that read more like YouTube comments than a professional pilot.

Whats with this spike in losses of cabin pressure and emergency landings? 3 emergency landings in a month.
This at an airline that operates about 120,000 flights a month. Stuff has, does, and will continue to happen when the operation is that big. The only difference now is that one recent incident caused a fatality. That's all it takes for the drive-by media to form their latest narrative and put the airline under the microscope.

You're wading in the deep end here. It will make more sense in about five years and 5000 hours.

Thanks for the advice but im still wondering what it means by beating the masks to 14,000. From a google search I found that the masks will deploy once cabin alt reaches 14k. But with a decompression are you trying to get to 10k aircraft altitude as fast as possible racing the cabin altitude to 14k so the masks don't deploy?

That’s exactly what he means.

But if its a rapid decompression then you have really no chance of beating the masks. A slow decompression makes more sense.
