To be clear, according to SWALife, there are 15 sims operational. There are 3 vacant sim bays...waiting for MAX sim development/FAA certification?
The future planned expansion of the LEAD Training Center includes 8 additional sim bays for a grand total of 26 sims. I’ve been told the company is accelerating plans to extend the building, but I don’t know when that expansion will break ground.

As far as upgrades I think the majority of the next to upgrade are former airtrain east coast based guys/gals so it may go to say upgrade time will fall quite rapidly in the next few yrs as those may not want to commute to the Jr west coast bases OAK, LAX. If that's so relative senority for upgrade may stay above 60% for a while.

I think a good portion of those guys will want the money/captain seat just the same as anyone else. I have flown with a lot of Tran folks who chose to upgrade out of home base.
LAX and the ETOPS lock are going to be a big factor. If you bid into LA as a captain, you are seat locked into the ETOPS bid group for 6 months. That is huge. It will keep a lot of folks from taking early upgrade until they can at least base hop back east.

LOL.. Yeah, right. SWApA dropped that ball when we went to the AQP BS. I wouldn't have believed that TS could make our training months more miserable, but with AQP, they have, with SWApA's consent.
They'll pull the lowest paying trip on your board, and pay 5 for the other days, not including the DH home if you have a PM "preference".

Or they'll pull a full trip and a partial, leaving you with a NM on your board...which you can't elitt. Super awesome!

Pretty sure its code for the last and final adjustment period, which takes place when you suddenly decide that working for free is not in your own best interest. I have never flown an unpaid deadhead and I don’t plan to ever fly one. My services don’t come that cheap.
